The iPhone was announced by Apple CEO Steve Jobs during the keynote address at
the Macworld Conference & Expo on 9 January 2007. It's an
Internet-enabled mobile phone that has revolutionized the mobile
industry.
The iPhone's features include those of a camera, capturing video, an MP3 and video player,
mobile phone, and Internet services like e-mail, text messaging, web browsing,
Visual Voicemail and wireless connectivity. The iPhone user input is
accomplished via touch screen with virtual keyboard and buttons.
The iPhone was released in the United States on June 29, 2007 and made available from the Apple Store and from AT&T Mobility, formerly Cingular Wireless.
